A BILL
To amend title 10, United States Code, to permit members
of the Armed Forces to continue to participate in
Skillbridge programs after their date of discharge or
separation from active duty in the Armed Forces.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. CONTINUED PARTICIPATION OF SEPARATED

MEMBERS
OF
THE
ARMED
FORCES
IN
4
SKILLBRIDGE PROGRAMS.

Section 1143(e) of title 10, United States Code, is
6
amended—

(1) by redesignating paragraph (3) as para-

graph (4); and
2
(2) by inserting after paragraph (2) the fol-
3
lowing new paragraph (3):

‘‘(3) In the case of an eligible member who en-
5
rolls in a program under this subsection and who is
6
discharged or released from active duty in the armed
7
forces before the completion of the program, such
8
member may continue to participate in the program
9
until the completion of the program. The continued
10
participation of such a member in such a program
11
shall have no effect on the discharge or separation
12
date of the member or the eligibility of the member
13
for any pay or benefits.’’.
