SEC. 2. EXTENSION OF FEDERAL PANDEMIC UNEMPLOY-

MENT COMPENSATION.

(a) EXTENSION.βSection 2104(e) of the Relief for

Workers Affected by Coronavirus Act (contained in sub-
4
title A of title II of division A of the CARES Act (Public
5
Law 116β136)) is amended to read as follows:

ββ(e) APPLICABILITY.β
7
ββ(1) IN GENERAL.βAn agreement entered into
8
under this section shall apply to weeks of unemploy-
9
mentβ
10
ββ(A) beginning after the date on which
11
such agreement is entered into; and
12
ββ(B) ending on or before the applicable
13
end date described in paragraph (2).

ββ(2) APPLICABLE END DATE.β

ββ(A) IN
GENERAL.βThe applicable end

date described in this paragraph with respect to
17
a State is the date that is 13 weeks after the
18
first date (after the date the State entered into
19
an agreement under this section) that the State
20
is not in an extended benefit period described in
21
subparagraph (B).

as of any given day, if such a period would then

be in effect for such State under the Federal-

Act of 1970 (26 U.S.C. 3304 note) ifβ

applied to such State (regardless of wheth-

er the State by law had provided for such

application); and

SEC. 3. EXTENSION AND EXPANSION OF THE PANDEMIC

EMERGENCY
UNEMPLOYMENT
COMPENSA-

TION PROGRAM.

(a) EXTENSION.βSection 2107(g) of the Relief for

Workers Affected by Coronavirus Act (contained in sub-
16

Law 116β136)) is amended to read as follows:
