To amend title 10, United States Code, to increase the

and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Selected Reserve Edu-
4
cation Loan Repayment Program Enhancement Act’’.

SEC. 2. MODIFICATION OF EDUCATION LOAN REPAYMENT

(a) MODIFICATION
OF
MAXIMUM
REPAYMENT
4
AMOUNT.—Section 16301(b) of title 10, United States
5
Code, is amended by striking ‘‘15 percent or $500’’ and
6
inserting ‘‘20 percent or $1,000’’.

(b) EFFECTIVE DATE
AND APPLICABILITY.—The
8
amendment made by subsection (a) shall take effect on
9
the date of the enactment of this Act and shall apply with
10
respect to loan repayment under section 16301 of title 10,
11
United States Code, for eligible years of service completed
12
on or after the date of the enactment of this Act.
