to the Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship
A BILL
To provide that all critical access hospitals are eligible for
loans under the paycheck protection program, and for
other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘PPP for Critical Ac-
4
cess Hospitals Act’’.

SEC. 2. INCLUSION OF CRITICAL ACCESS HOSPITALS IN
6
THE PAYCHECK PROTECTION PROGRAM.

Section 7(a)(36)(D) of the Small Business Act (15
8
U.S.C. 636(a)(36)(D)) is amended by adding at the end
9
the following:

‘‘(vii) INCLUSION OF CRITICAL ACCESS

HOSPITALS.—During the covered period,
2
any nonprofit organization that is a critical
3
access hospital (as defined in section
4
1861(mm) of the Social Security Act (42
5
U.S.C. 1395x(mm))) shall be eligible to re-
6
ceive a covered loan, regardless of the sta-
7
tus of such a hospital as a debtor in a case
8
under chapter 11 of title 11, Unites States
9
Code, or the status of any debts owed by
10
such a hospital to the Federal Govern-
11
ment.’’.
