A BILL
To amend the Omnibus Public Land Management Act of
2009 to make a technical correction to the water rights
settlement for the Shoshone-Paiute Tribes of the Duck
Valley Reservation, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Technical Correction
4
to the Shoshone-Paiute Tribes of the Duck Valley Res-
5
ervation Water Rights Settlement Act of 2020’’.

SEC. 2. AUTHORIZATION OF PAYMENT OF INTEREST ON

TRUST FUNDS ESTABLISHED UNDER SETTLE-
2
MENT.

Section 10807 of the Omnibus Public Land Manage-
4
ment Act of 2009 (Public Law 111–11; 123 Stat. 1408)
5
is amended—
6
(1) in subsection (b)(3)—
7
(A) by striking ‘‘There is’’ and inserting
8
the following:
9
‘‘(A) IN GENERAL.—There is’’; and
10
(B) by adding at the end the following:
11
‘‘(B) INTEREST PAYMENTS.—There is au-
12
thorized to be appropriated to the Secretary for
13
deposit into the Development Fund the interest
14
that would have accrued during the period be-
15
ginning on October 1, 2009, and ending on
16
January 25, 2016, on balances held in the De-
17
velopment Fund, as calculated using the appli-
18
cable rate for interest-bearing obligations of the
19
United States if the amounts in the Develop-
20
ment Fund had been invested in accordance
21
with—
22
‘‘(i) the Act of April 1, 1880 (21 Stat.
23
70, chapter 41; 25 U.S.C. 161); and

‘‘(ii) the first section of the Act of

June 24, 1938 (52 Stat. 1037, chapter

648; 25 U.S.C. 162a).’’; and

(2) in subsection (c)(3)—

(A) by striking ‘‘There is’’ and inserting

the following:

‘‘(A) IN GENERAL.—There is’’; and

(B) by adding at the end the following:

that would have accrued during the period be-

ginning on October 1, 2009, and ending on

Maintenance Fund, as calculated using the ap-

plicable rate for interest-bearing obligations of

the United States if the amounts in the Mainte-
17
nance Fund had been invested in accordance
18
with—
19
‘‘(i) the Act of April 1, 1880 (21 Stat.
20
70, chapter 41; 25 U.S.C. 161); and
21
‘‘(ii) the first section of the Act of
22
June 24, 1938 (52 Stat. 1037, chapter
23
648; 25 U.S.C. 162a).’’.
