Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa- 1 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2 SECTION 1. TRI-COUNTY LEVEE DISTRICT. 3 (a) CONVEYANCE.—Not later than 12 months after 4 the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary of the 5 Army, acting through the Chief of Engineers, shall convey 6 to the Tri-County Levee District #1, Missouri, without 7 consideration and subject to subsection (b), all right, title, 8 and interest in and to real property described in sub- 9 section (c). 10 VerDate Sep 11 2014 01:26 May 21, 2020 Jkt 099200 PO 00000 Frm 00001 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\H6771.IH H6771 pamtmann on DSKBC07HB2PROD with BILLS 2 •HR 6771 IH (b) CONDITIONS.— 1 (1) SURVEY TO OBTAIN LEGAL DESCRIPTION.— 2 The exact acreage and the legal description of any 3 real property to be conveyed under this section shall 4 be determined by a survey, to be completed and pro- 5 vided by the Tri-County Levee District #1, that is 6 satisfactory to the Secretary. 7 (2) APPLICABILITY OF PROPERTY SCREENING 8 PROVISIONS.—Section 2696 of title 10, United 9 States Code, shall not apply to any conveyance 10 under this section. 11 (3) ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS.— 12 The Secretary may require that any conveyance 13 under this section be subject to such additional 14 terms and conditions as the Secretary considers nec- 15 essary and appropriate to protect the interests of the 16 United States. 17 (4) COSTS OF CONVEYANCE.—An entity to 18 which a conveyance is made under this section shall 19 be responsible for all reasonable and necessary costs, 20 including real estate transaction and environmental 21 documentation costs, associated with the conveyance. 22 (5) LIABILITY.—An entity to which a convey- 23 ance is made under this section shall hold the 24 United States harmless from any liability with re- 25 VerDate Sep 11 2014 01:26 May 21, 2020 Jkt 099200 PO 00000 Frm 00002 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\H6771.IH H6771 pamtmann on DSKBC07HB2PROD with BILLS 3 •HR 6771 IH spect to activities carried out, on or after the date 1 of the conveyance, on real property conveyed.
