and International Place, Northwest in Washington, District of Columbia,
as ‘‘Li Wenliang Plaza’’, and for other purposes.

troduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the Com-
mittee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs
A BILL
To designate the area between the intersections of Inter-
national Drive, Northwest and Van Ness Street, North-
west and International Drive, Northwest and Inter-
national Place, Northwest in Washington, District of Co-
lumbia, as ‘‘Li Wenliang Plaza’’, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. DESIGNATION OF LI WENLIANG PLAZA.

(a) DESIGNATION OF PLAZA.—
4
(1) IN GENERAL.—The area between the inter-
5
sections of International Drive, Northwest and Van
6
Ness Street, Northwest and International Drive,

Northwest and International Place, Northwest in

Washington, District of Columbia, shall be known
2
and designated as ‘‘Li Wenliang Plaza’’.

(2) REFERENCES.—Any reference in a law,
4
map, regulation, document, paper, or other record of
5
the area referred to in paragraph (1) shall be
6
deemed to be a reference to Li Wenliang Plaza.

(b) DESIGNATION OF ADDRESS.—

(1) DESIGNATION.—The address of 3505 Inter-
9
national Place, Northwest, Washington, District of
10
Columbia, shall be redesignated as 1 Li Wenliang
11
Plaza.

(2) REFERENCES.—Any reference in a law,
13
map, regulation, document, paper, or other record of
14
the United States to the address referred to in para-
15
graph (1) shall be deemed to be a reference to 1 Li
16
Wenliang Plaza.

(c) SIGNS.—The Administrator of General Services
18
shall construct street signs that shall—
19
(1) contain the phrase ‘‘Li Wenliang Plaza’’;
20
(2) be similar in design to the signs used by
21
Washington, District of Columbia, to designate the
22
location of Metro stations; and
23
(3) be placed on—

closest to 1 Li Wenliang Plaza (as redesignated

by subsection (b)); and

(B) the street corners of International

Drive, Northwest and Van Ness Street, North-

International Place, Northwest, Washington,
7
District of Columbia.
