introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on

A BILL
To amend the Small Business Act to expand the Paycheck
Protection Program for certain organizations, and for
other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Local Chamber, Tour-
4
ism, and 501(c)(6) Protection Act of 2020’’.
5
SEC. 2. PAYCHECK PROTECTION PROGRAM.

Section 7(a)(36) of the Small Business Act (15
7
U.S.C. 636(a)(36)) is amended—
8
(1) in subparagraph (A)—

(A) in clause (viii)(II)—

(i) in item (dd), by striking ‘‘or’’ at

the end;

Code of 1986 or is a destination mar-

keting organization (without regard to

whether such organization is described

in such section); and

‘‘(II) has 300 or fewer employ-

ees; and
2
‘‘(xi) the term ‘destination marketing
3
organization’ means a non-profit entity, a
4
State, or a political subdivision of a State
5
(including any instrumentality of such en-
6
tities) engaged in marketing and pro-
7
moting communities and facilities to busi-
8
nesses and leisure travelers through a
9
range of activities, including—
10
‘‘(I) assisting with the location of
11
meeting and convention sites;
12
‘‘(II) providing travel information
13
on area attractions, lodging accom-
14
modations, and restaurants;
15
‘‘(III) providing maps; and
16
‘‘(IV) organizing group tours of
17
local historical, recreational, and cul-
18
tural attractions.’’; and
19
(2) in subparagraph (D), by adding at the end
20
the following:

‘‘(vii) INCLUSION OF COVERED BUSI-
22
NESS
ORGANIZATIONS.—During the cov-
23
ered period, a covered business organiza-
