ferred to the Committee on Education and Labor
A BILL
To amend the Richard B. Russell National School Lunch
Act to include eating disorder prevention within local
school wellness policy, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Eating Disorder Pre-
4
vention in Schools Act of 2020’’.

SEC. 2. LOCAL SCHOOL WELLNESS POLICY.

Section 9A of the Richard B. Russell National School
7
Lunch Act (42 U.S.C. 1758b) is amended—
8
(1) in subsection (b)—

sionals,’’ after ‘‘administrators,’’; and

(2) in subsection (d)—

(i) by striking ‘‘Education’’ and in-

Services Administration,’’; and

(ii) by inserting ‘‘school health profes-

(B) in paragraph (2)(C), by striking ‘‘re-

quired to promote sound nutrition and estab-

lish’’ and inserting the following: ‘‘required—

‘‘(i) to promote sound nutrition and

eating disorder prevention and encourage

screening; and

‘‘(ii) to establish’’; and

(C) in paragraph (3)—
