Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa- 1 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2 SECTION 1. HEALTH CARE OPPORTUNITIES FOR TSA EMPLOY- 1 EES. 2 (a) COVERAGE.—Section 8905 of title 5, United 3 States Code, is amended by adding at the end the fol- 4 lowing: 5 ‘‘(j) During a national emergency (including a pan- 6 demic such as that caused by COVID–19) and the 30- 7 day period following the end of such emergency, a Trans- 8 portation Security Administration employee— 9 ‘‘(1) if such employee is not enrolled in a health 10 benefits plan, dental benefits plan, or vision benefits 11 plan under this chapter, chapter 89A, or chapter 12 89B, respectively, may enroll in such a plan; and 13 ‘‘(2) if such employee is enrolled in any such 14 plan, may change such enrollment.’’. 15 (b) CONTRIBUTIONS.—Section 8906(b) of such title 16 is amended by adding at the end the following: 17 ‘‘(5) In the case of an employee of the Trans- 18 portation Security Administration who is occupying 19 a position on a part-time career employment basis, 20 the biweekly Government contribution shall be equal 21 to that of an employee serving in a comparable posi- 22 tion on a full-time career basis (as determined under 23 regulations prescribed by the Office).
