NATIONAL NUCLEAR FORENSICS CENTER. 5 ‘‘(a) ESTABLISHMENT.—There is within the Admin- 6 istration a National Nuclear Forensics Center (in this sec- 7 tion referred to as the ‘Center’). 8 ‘‘(b) MISSION.—The mission of the Center shall be 9 to coordinate stewardship, planning, assessment, gap anal- 10 ysis, exercises, improvement, including operational im- 11 provements and research, development, testing, and eval- 12 uation, and integration for all Federal nuclear forensics 13 and attribution activities to ensure an enduring national 14 technical nuclear forensics capability to strengthen the col- 15 lective response of the United States to nuclear terrorism 16 or other nuclear attacks.’’. 17 (2) CLERICAL AMENDMENT.—The table of con- 18 tents at the beginning of such Act is amended by in- 19 serting after the item relating to section 3221 the 20 following new item: 21 ‘‘Sec. 3222. National Nuclear Forensics Center.’’.
