To amend title 38, United States Code, to make permanent
the temporary increase in number of judges presiding
over the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans
Claims, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Veterans Court of Ap-
4
peals Support Act of 2020’’.

SEC. 2. MAKING PERMANENT THE TEMPORARY INCREASE

IN NUMBER OF JUDGES PRESIDING OVER
2
COURT OF APPEALS FOR VETERANS CLAIMS.

(a) PERMANENT INCREASE.—Subsection (a) of sec-
4
tion 7253 of title 38, United States Code, is amended by
5
striking ‘‘seven’’ and inserting ‘‘nine’’.
6
(b) CONFORMING AMENDMENTS.—Such section is
7
further amended—
8
(1) in subsection (h), by striking paragraph (5);
9
and
10
(2) by striking subsection (i).
