Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa- 1 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2 SECTION 1. REPORT COAST GUARD DEFENSE READINESS RE- 1 SOURCES ALLOCATION. 2 (a) REPORT REQUIRED.—Not later than 180 days 3 after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Comp- 4 troller General of the United States shall submit to the 5 Committees on Armed Services of the Senate and House 6 of Representatives, the Committee on Transportation and 7 Infrastructure of the House of Representatives, and the 8 Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation of 9 the Senate, a report on the allocation of resources by the 10 Coast Guard to support its defense readiness mission. 11 (b) CONTENTS.—The report required by subsection 12 (a) shall include the following elements: 13 (1) Funding levels allocated by the Coast Guard 14 to support defense readiness missions for each of the 15 past ten fiscal years preceding the date of enactment 16 of this Act. 17 (2) Funding levels transferred or otherwise pro- 18 vided by the Department of Defense to the Coast 19 Guard in support of the Coast Guard’s defense read- 20 iness missions for each of the past ten fiscal years 21 preceding the date of enactment of this Act. 22 (3) The number of Coast Guard detachments 23 assigned in support of the Coast Guard’s defense 24 readiness mission for each of the past ten fiscal 25 years preceding the date of enactment of this Act. 26 VerDate Sep 11 2014 00:06 Mar 14, 2020 Jkt 099200 PO 00000 Frm 00002 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\H6146.IH H6146 kjohnson on DSK79L0C42PROD with BILLS 3 •HR 6146 IH (c) ASSESSMENT.—In addition to the elements de- 1 tailed in subsection (b), the report shall include an assess- 2 ment of the impacts on the Coast Guard’s non-defense 3 mission readiness and operational capabilities due to the 4 annual levels of reimbursement provided by the Depart- 5 ment of Defense to compensate the Coast Guard for its 6 expenses to fulfill its defense readiness mission. 7 Æ VerDate Sep 11 2014 00:06 Mar 14, 2020 Jkt 099200 PO 00000 Frm 00003 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6301 E:\BILLS\H6146.IH H6146 kjohnson on DSK79L0C42PROD with BILLS
