To amend the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act
to make the National Parks and Federal Recreational
Lands Pass available at no cost to members of Gold
Star Families.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Gold Star Families
4
Parks Pass Act’’.

SEC. 2. GOLD STAR FAMILIES PARKS PASS.

(a) IN GENERAL.—Section 805(b) of the Federal
2
Lands Recreation Enhancement Act (16 U.S.C. 6804(b))
3
is amended by adding at the end the following:
4
‘‘(3) GOLD STAR FAMILIES PARKS PASS.—The
5
Secretary shall make the National Parks and Fed-
6
eral Recreational Lands Pass available, at no cost,
7
to members of Gold Star Families who meet the eli-
8
gibility requirements of section 3.2 of Department of
9
Defense Instruction 1348.36 (or a successor instruc-
10
tion).’’.

(b) TECHNICAL AND CONFORMING AMENDMENTS.—
12
Section 805 of the Federal Lands Recreation Enhance-
13
ment Act (16 U.S.C. 6804) is amended—
14
(1) in subsection (a)(7), in the first sentence,
15
by striking ‘‘age and disability’’; and
16
(2) in subsection (b)—
17
(A) in paragraph (1)(A), in the second
18
sentence, in the matter preceding clause (i), by
19
striking ‘‘this subsection’’ and inserting ‘‘this
20
paragraph’’; and
21
(B) in paragraph (2), in the second sen-
22
tence, by striking ‘‘this subsection’’ and insert-
23
ing ‘‘this paragraph’’.
