A BILL
To amend the Richard B. Russell National School Lunch
Act and the Child Nutrition Act of 1966 to grant eligi-
bility to the Federated States of Micronesia, Republic
of the Marshall Islands, and the Republic of Palau for
certain programs, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘FAS School Meals Im-

provement Act’’.

(a) THE RICHARD B. RUSSELL NATIONAL SCHOOL
3
LUNCH ACT.—The Richard B. Russell National School
4
Lunch Act (42 U.S.C. 1760 et seq.) is amended as follows:
5
(1) Section 12 (42 U.S.C. 1760) is amended—
6
(A) in subsection (d)(8), by striking ‘‘or
7
the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Is-
8
lands’’ and inserting ‘‘the Commonwealth of the
9
Northern Mariana Islands, Federated States of
10
Micronesia, Republic of the Marshall Islands, or
11
the Republic of Palau’’; and
12
(B) in subsection (f), by striking ‘‘and the
13
Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Is-
14
lands’’ and inserting ‘‘the Commonwealth of the
15
Northern Mariana Islands, Federated States of
16
Micronesia, Republic of the Marshall Islands,
17
and the Republic of Palau’’.

(b) THE CHILD NUTRITION ACT
OF 1966.—The

Child Nutrition Act of 1966 (42 U.S.C. 1771 et seq.) is

amended—

(1) in section 3(a)(3) (42 U.S.C. 1772(a)(3)),
7
by striking ‘‘and the District of Columbia’’ and in-
8
serting ‘‘the District of Columbia, Federated States
9
of Micronesia, Republic of the Marshall Islands, and
10
the Republic of Palau’’; and
11
(2) in section 15(1) (42 U.S.C. 1784(1)), by
12
striking ‘‘or the Commonwealth of the Northern
13
Mariana Islands’’ and inserting ‘‘the Commonwealth
14
of the Northern Mariana Islands, Federated States
15
of Micronesia, Republic of the Marshall Islands, or
16
the Republic of Palau’’.
