GRANT AUTHORITY. 3 ‘‘The Attorney General is authorized to make grants 4 to States and units of local government to deploy and im- 5 plement gunfire detection and location technology. 6 ‘‘SEC. 3052. APPLICATIONS. 7 ‘‘The chief executive officer of a State or unit of local 8 government seeking a grant under this part shall submit 9 to the Attorney General an application at such time, in 10 such manner, and containing such information as the At- 11 torney General may reasonably require. 12 ‘‘SEC. 3053. FUNDING. 13 ‘‘Of the total amount made available to carry out sub- 14 part 1 of part E, the Attorney General shall allocate not 15 less than $10,000,000 for grants under this part for each 16 of fiscal years 2020 through 2023.’’. 17 SEC. 2.
