Providing for consideration of the resolution (H. Res. 660) directing certain
committees to continue their ongoing investigations as part of the existing
House of Representatives inquiry into whether sufficient grounds exist
for the House of Representatives to exercise its Constitutional power
to impeach Donald John Trump, President of the United States of
America, and for other purposes.

Mr. COLE submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the
Committee on Rules
RESOLUTION
Providing for consideration of the resolution (H. Res. 660)
directing certain committees to continue their ongoing
investigations as part of the existing House of Represent-
atives inquiry into whether sufficient grounds exist for
the House of Representatives to exercise its Constitu-
tional power to impeach Donald John Trump, President
of the United States of America, and for other purposes.
Resolved, That at any time after adoption of this reso-

lution the Speaker may, pursuant to clause 2(b) of rule
2
XVIII, declare the House resolved into the Committee of
3
the Whole House on the state of the Union for consider-

resentatives to exercise its Constitutional power to im-
5
peach Donald John Trump, President of the United
6
States of America, and for other purposes. The first read-
7
ing of the resolution shall be dispensed with. All points
8
of order against the resolution and against its consider-
9
ation are waived. General debate shall be confined to the
10
resolution and shall not exceed four hours equally divided
11
and controlled by the chair and ranking minority member
12
of the Committee on Rules. After general debate the reso-
13
lution shall be considered for amendment under the five-
14
minute rule. At the conclusion of consideration of the reso-
15
lution for amendment, the Committee shall rise and report
16
the resolution to the House with such amendments as may
17
have been adopted. The previous question shall be consid-
18
ered as ordered on the resolution and amendments thereto
19
to adoption without intervening motion except one motion
20
to recommit with or without instructions.
