duced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Edu-

A BILL
To amend the Women in Apprenticeship and Nontraditional
Occupations Act to provide for reimbursement of certain
expenses and to establish new requirements for selection
of grantees, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Women in Apprentice-
4
ship and Nontraditional Occupations Amendment Act’’.
5
SEC. 2. IN GENERAL.
6
Section 4 of the ‘‘Women in Apprenticeship and Non-
7
traditional Occupations Act’’ is amended—

(1) in subsection (a)—

(A) in paragraph (6), by striking ‘‘and’’;
2
(B) in paragraph (7), by striking the pe-

riod and inserting ‘‘; and’’; and
4
(C) by adding at the end the following:

‘‘(8) reimbursement to individuals for childcare
6
and transportation expenses incurred as a result of
7
participation in a program funded under this sec-
8
tion.’’; and

(2) by amending subsection (b) to read as fol-
10
lows:

‘‘(b) SELECTION
OF
EMPLOYER
AND
LABOR
12
UNIONS.—The Secretary shall select not fewer than 1 em-
13
ployer or labor union from each State, and not fewer than
14
50 employers or labor unions total, to receive technical as-
15
sistance provided with grants made under subsection
16
(a).’’.
