of a pharmacy, and for other purposes.

A BILL
To direct the Drug Enforcement Administration to provide
information on best practices and strategies for respond-
ing in the event of a robbery of a pharmacy, and for
other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Preventing Pharmacy
4
Robbery Act of 2019’’.

SEC. 2. PHARMACY ROBBERY PREVENTION.

The Drug Enforcement Administration, as part of
7
the diversion control program of the Administration, shall

disseminate to pharmacies information on best practices

and strategies on how employees of a pharmacy might best
2
respond to an attempted robbery of that pharmacy. The
3
Administration shall consult with local law enforcement
4
agencies to customize such strategies for particular phar-
5
macies based on the practices of criminal actors in the
6
locality.
