DESIGNATION OF NEW RIVER GORGE NATIONAL 1 PARK AND NEW RIVER GORGE NATIONAL 2 PRESERVE, WEST VIRGINIA. 3 (a) REDESIGNATION.—The New River Gorge Na- 4 tional River established under section 1101 of the Na- 5 tional Parks and Recreation Act of 1978 (16 U.S.C. 6 460m–15) shall be known and designated as the ‘‘New 7 River Gorge National Park and Preserve’’, consisting of— 8 (1) the New River Gorge National Park; and 9 (2) the New River Gorge National Preserve. 10 (b) NEW RIVER GORGE NATIONAL PARK.—The 11 boundaries of the New River Gorge National Park referred 12 to in subsection (a)(1) shall be the boundaries depicted 13 as ‘‘Proposed National Park Area’’ on the map entitled 14 ‘‘New River Gorge National Park and Preserve Proposed 15 Boundary’’, numbered 637/163,199, and dated September 16 2019. 17 (c) NEW RIVER GORGE NATIONAL PRESERVE; 18 BOUNDARY.—The boundaries of the New River Gorge Na- 19 tional Preserve referred to in subsection (a)(2) shall be 20 the boundaries depicted as ‘‘Proposed National Preserve 21 Area’’ on the map entitled ‘‘New River Gorge National 22 Park and Preserve Proposed Boundary’’, numbered 637/ 23 163,199, and dated September 2019. 24 VerDate Sep 11 2014 23:04 Oct 07, 2019 Jkt 099200 PO 00000 Frm 00002 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\H4610.IH H4610 pamtmann on DSKBC07HB2PROD with BILLS 3 •HR 4610 IH SEC. 3. ADMINISTRATION. 1 (a) IN GENERAL.—The New River Gorge National 2 Park and Preserve shall be administered by the Secretary 3 of the Interior (referred to in this Act as the ‘‘Secretary’’) 4 in accordance with— 5 (1) this Act; 6 (2) the laws generally applicable to units of the 7 National Park System, including— 8 (A) section 100101(a), chapter 1003, and 9 sections 100751(a), 100752, 100753, and 10 102101 of title 54, United States Code; and 11 (B) chapter 3201 of title 54, United States 12 Code; and 13 (3) title XI of the National Parks and Recre- 14 ation Act of 1978 (16 U.S.C. 460m–15 et seq.). 15 (b) HUNTING AND FISHING.— 16 (1) HUNTING.—Hunting within the New River 17 Gorge National Preserve shall be administered by 18 the Secretary— 19 (A) in the same manner as hunting was 20 administered on the day before the date of en- 21 actment of this Act in those portions of the 22 New River Gorge National River designated as 23 the New River Gorge National Preserve by sec- 24 tion 2(c); and 25 (B) in accordance with— 26 VerDate Sep 11 2014 23:04 Oct 07, 2019 Jkt 099200 PO 00000 Frm 00003 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\H4610.IH H4610 pamtmann on DSKBC07HB2PROD with BILLS 4 •HR 4610 IH (i) section 1106 of the National Parks 1 and Recreation Act of 1978 (16 U.S.C. 2 460m–20); and 3 (ii) other applicable laws. 4 (2) FISHING.—Fishing within the New River 5 Gorge National Park and Preserve shall be adminis- 6 tered by the Secretary— 7 (A) in the same manner as fishing was ad- 8 ministered within the New River Gorge Na- 9 tional River on the day before the date of enact- 10 ment of this Act; and 11 (B) in accordance with— 12 (i) section 1106 of the National Parks 13 and Recreation Act of 1978 (16 U.S.C. 14 460m–20); and 15 (ii) other applicable laws. 16 (3) PRIVATE LAND.—Nothing in this Act pro- 17 hibits hunting, fishing, or trapping on private land 18 in accordance with applicable State and Federal 19 laws. 20 (c) COMMERCIAL RECREATIONAL WATERCRAFT 21 SERVICES.—Commercial recreational watercraft services 22 within the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve 23 shall be administered by the Secretary in accordance with 24 section 402 of the West Virginia National Interest River 25 VerDate Sep 11 2014 23:04 Oct 07, 2019 Jkt 099200 PO 00000 Frm 00004 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\H4610.IH H4610 pamtmann on DSKBC07HB2PROD with BILLS 5 •HR 4610 IH Conservation Act of 1987 (16 U.S.C. 460m–15 note; Pub- 1 lic Law 100–534). 2 (d) REFERENCES.—Any reference in a law, map, reg- 3 ulation, document, paper, or other record of the United 4 States to the New River Gorge National River shall be 5 considered to be a reference to the ‘‘New River Gorge Na- 6 tional Park’’ or the ‘‘New River Gorge National Preserve’’, 7 as appropriate. 8 SEC. 4.
