the requirement for unique health identifiers.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘National Patient Iden-

tifier Repeal Act of 2019’’.

SEC. 2. REPEAL OF REQUIREMENT FOR UNIQUE HEALTH
6
IDENTIFIERS.

Section 1173(b) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C.
8
1320d–2(b)) is repealed.
