To amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to reform
asylum procedures related to safe third countries, and
for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SAFE THIRD COUNTRY.

Section 208(a)(2)(A) of the Immigration and Nation-
4
ality Act (8 U.S.C. 1158(a)(2)(A)) is amended—
5
(1) by striking ‘‘Attorney General’’ each place
6
it appears and inserting ‘‘Secretary of Homeland Se-
7
curity’’; and
