To amend the Energy Policy Act of 2005 to make innovative
technology loan guarantees available for battery storage
technologies.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Battery Storage Inno-
4
vation Act of 2019’’.

Section 1703(b) of the Energy Policy Act of 2005

(42 U.S.C. 16513(b)) is amended by adding at the end
4
the following:

‘‘(11) Battery storage technologies for residen-

tial, industrial, or transportation applications.’’.
