Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
2
SECTION 1. USE OF CONVEYED LAND.
3
Section 342(c) of the Consolidated Natural Resources
4
Act of 2008 is amended—
5
(1) by striking ‘‘The conveyance’’ and inserting
6
the following:
7
‘‘(1) PRIMARY USE.—The conveyance’’; and
8
(2) by adding at the end the following:
9
‘‘(2) ADDITIONAL
USE.—The Missouri River
10
Basin Lewis and Clark Interpretive Trail and Visitor
11
Center Foundation, Inc. may use, or enter into an
12
agreement with another party to lease, not more than
13
40 acres of the land conveyed under subsection (a) for
14
public outdoor recreation under the following condi-
15
tions:
16
‘‘(A) The land shall continue to be main-
17
tained in a manner that is compatible with the
18
use authorized in paragraph (1), conditions stat-
19
ed in the deed for the land, and the memo-
20
randum of understanding with the National
21
Park Service dated June 2009.
22
‘‘(B) The nature trail around the perimeter
23
of the land shall remain in place and may be en-
24
hanced with educational signage about the flora

ing of native flora.

‘‘(C) Revenue from any use (including any
3
lease or agreement entered into) under this para-
4
graph shall be used to offset maintenance and
5
operating costs of the Lewis and Clark Interpre-
6
tive Center.’’.
