SHORT TITLE. 3 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘SNAP Vitamin and 4 Mineral Improvement Act of 2019’’. 5 SEC. 2. 5 (J) in paragraph (1) (as so amended)— 6 (i) by striking ‘‘clauses’’ and inserting 7 ‘‘paragraphs’’; and 8 (ii) by striking ‘‘of this subsection’’; 9 (K) in paragraph (9) (as so amended), by 10 striking the period at the end and inserting ‘‘; 2 and 3 ‘‘(B) at 50 percent or more of the daily 4 value for the intended life stage per daily serv- 5 ing, as determined by the Food and Drug Ad- 6 ministration; and 7 ‘‘(2) does not exceed the tolerable upper intake 8 levels for those nutrients for which an established 9 tolerable upper intake level is determined by the Na- 10 tional Academy of Medicine.’’; and 11 (4) in subsection (r) (as so redesignated)— 12 (A) by striking the subsection designation 13 and all that follows through ‘‘Except’’ and in- 14 serting the following: 15 ‘‘(r) STAPLE FOODS.— 16 ‘‘(1) IN GENERAL.—Except’’; and 2 (ii) by striking ‘‘and spices’’ and in- 3 serting ‘‘spices, and multivitamin-mineral 4 dietary supplements’’. 5 (b) CONFORMING AMENDMENTS.— 6 (1) Section 10 of the Food and Nutrition Act 7 of 2008 (7 U.S.C. 2019) is amended in the first sen- 8 tence by striking ‘‘section 3(o)(4)’’ and inserting 9 ‘‘section 3(p)(4)’’. 10 (2) Section 11 of the Food and Nutrition Act 11 of 2008 (7 U.S.C. 2020) is amended— 12 (A) in subsection (a)(2), by striking ‘‘sec- 13 tion 3(s)(1)’’ and inserting ‘‘section 3(t)(1)’’; 14 (B) in subsection (d)— 15 (i) by striking ‘‘section 3(s)(1)’’ each 16 place it appears and inserting ‘‘section 17 3(t)(1)’’; and 18 (ii) by striking ‘‘section 3(s)(2)’’ each 19 place it appears and inserting ‘‘section 20 3(t)(2)’’;
