RECORDING AND REPORTING OF OCCUPATIONAL 1 INJURIES AND ILLNESSES. 2 (a) IN GENERAL.—Not later than 180 days after the 3 date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Labor shall 4 revise the regulations in part 1904 of title 29, Code of 5 Federal Regulations, concerning the recording and report- 6 ing of occupational injuries and illnesses under the Occu- 7 pational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (29 U.S.C. 651 8 et seq.), to require site-controlling employers to keep a site 9 log for all recordable injuries and illnesses occurring 10 among all employees on the particular site, whether such 11 employees are employed directly by the site-controlling em- 12 ployer or are employed by contractors or temporary help 13 or employee leasing services. 14 (b) DEFINITION.—As used in this section, the term 15 ‘‘site-controlling employer’’ means the employer that has 16 primary control over the work on a particular work site 17 and supervises the employees on a day-to-day basis on a 18 particular work site. 19 Æ VerDate Sep 11 2014 04:38 Jun 05, 2019 Jkt 089200 PO 00000 Frm 00002 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6301 E:\BILLS\H2872.IH H2872 kjohnson on DSK79L0C42 with BILLS
