UNMANNED AIRCRAFT SYSTEM WAIVER TASK 1 FORCE. 2 (a) ESTABLISHMENT.—Not later than 30 days after 3 the date of enactment of this Act, the Administrator of 4 the Federal Aviation Administration shall establish an Un- 5 manned Aircraft System Waiver Task Force (hereinafter 6 referred to as the ‘‘Task Force’’) to carry out the duties 7 described in subsection (b). 8 (b) DUTIES.—The Task Force shall process applica- 9 tions submitted for determinations and assessments under 10 section 44807 of title 49, United States Code, and waivers 11 for small unmanned aircraft systems under subpart D of 12 part 107 of title 14, Code of Federal Regulations, to re- 13 duce the backlog and processing time of outstanding waiv- 14 er or exemption applications. 15 (c) MEMBERSHIP.—The Task Force shall be com- 16 posed of such employees of the Federal Aviation Adminis- 17 tration as the Administrator considers appropriate. 18 (d) TERMINATION.—The Task Force shall terminate 19 on the date that is 3 years after the establishment of the 20 Task Force. 21 (e) REPORT TO CONGRESS.—Not later than 30 days 22 after the date of termination of the Task Force, the Ad- 23 ministrator shall submit to the Committee on Transpor- 24 tation and Infrastructure of the House of Representatives 25 and the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transpor- 26 VerDate Sep 11 2014 02:33 May 30, 2019 Jkt 089200 PO 00000 Frm 00002 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\H2830.IH H2830 pamtmann on DSKBFK8HB2PROD with BILLS 3 •HR 2830 IH tation of the Senate a report containing a description of 1 the activities carried out by the Task Force, including the 2 number of waivers processed by the Task Force. 3 Æ VerDate Sep 11 2014 02:33 May 30, 2019 Jkt 089200 PO 00000 Frm 00003 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6301 E:\BILLS\H2830.IH H2830 pamtmann on DSKBFK8HB2PROD with BILLS
