bill; which was referred to the Committee on Education and Labor
A BILL
To amend the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act
to ensure protections for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and
transgender youth and their families.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Protecting LGBTQ
4
Youth Act’’.
5
SEC. 2. AMENDMENTS TO CAPTA.

The Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (42

U.S.C. 5101 et seq.) is amended—
