Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Free Press Act of

2019’’.

SEC. 2. WHITE HOUSE PRESS CORPS.

(a) REQUIRED BRIEFING.—Not less than 2 times per
7
week, the President, or a designee of the President, shall

(b) TRANSMISSION TO THE PUBLIC.—Each brief de-

scribed under subsection (a) shall be recorded by video and
