Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa- 1 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2 SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Age 21 Act’’. 4 SEC. 2. and 7 ‘‘(B) requires a separate pull of the trigger to 8 fire each cartridge. 9 ‘‘(31) The term ‘semiautomatic shotgun’ means any 10 repeating shotgun that— 11 ‘‘(A) utilizes a portion of the energy of a firing 12 cartridge to extract the fired cartridge case and 13 chamber the next round; and 8 ‘‘(B) does not include— 9 ‘‘(i) a slide that partially or completely en- 10 closes the barrel; or 11 ‘‘(ii) an extension of the stock along the 12 bottom of the barrel which does not encircle or 13 substantially encircle the barrel. 14 ‘‘(39) The term ‘detachable magazine’ means an am- 15 munition feeding device that can be removed from a fire- 16 arm without disassembly of the firearm action. 17 ‘‘(40) The term ‘fixed magazine’ means an ammuni- 18 tion feeding device that is permanently fixed to the firearm 19 in such a manner that it cannot be removed without dis- 20 assembly of the firearm. 21 ‘‘(41) The term ‘folding, telescoping, or detachable 22 stock’ means a stock that folds, telescopes, detaches or 23 otherwise operates to reduce the length, size, or any other 24 VerDate Sep 11 2014 21:51 May 17, 2019 Jkt 089200 PO 00000 Frm 00014 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\S1395.IS S1395 pbinns on DSK79D2C42PROD with BILLS 15 •S 1395 IS dimension, or otherwise enhances the concealability, of a 1 firearm. 2 ‘‘(42) The term ‘forward grip’ means a grip located 3 forward of the trigger that functions as a pistol grip. 4 ‘‘(43) The term ‘grenade launcher’ means an attach- 5 ment for use on a firearm that is designed to propel a 6 grenade or other similar destructive device. 7 ‘‘(44) The term ‘pistol grip’ means a grip, a thumb- 8 hole stock or Thordsen-type grip or stock, or any other 9 characteristic that can function as a grip. 10 ‘‘(45) The term ‘threaded barrel’ means a feature or 11 characteristic that is designed in such a manner to allow 12 for the attachment of a device such as a firearm silenc [Text truncated for display.
