Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Federal Transit Mod-
4
ernization Act of 2019’’.

SEC. 2. EMPLOYEE PROTECTIVE ARRANGEMENTS.

(a) IN GENERAL.—Section 5333 of title 49, United
7
States Code, is amended—
8
(1) by striking ‘‘(a) PREVAILING WAGES RE-
9
QUIREMENT.—’’; and
