Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Hepatitis Exposure
4
Prevention Act of 2019’’ or the ‘‘HEP A Act of 2019’’.

SEC. 2. VACCINATION FOR HEPATITIS A IN AREAS AT RISK

OF A HEPATITIS A OUTBREAK.

The Secretary of Health and Human Services, acting
3
directly or by entering into contracts or awarding grants,
4
may administer vaccinations for hepatitis A, at no cost
5
to the inoculated, in any area within a State for which
6
there is in effect a declaration by the Governor of the
7
State designating such area as at risk of a hepatitis A
8
outbreak.
