SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Puerto Rico Federal

Matching Requirement Equity Act of 2019’’.

SEC. 2. REMOVAL OF STATUTORY FMAP LIMITATION FOR

PUERTO RICO.

(a) IN GENERAL.—Section 1905(b)(2) of the Social
3
Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1396d(b)(2)) is amended by strik-
4
ing ‘‘Puerto Rico,’’.
5
(b) EFFECTIVE DATE.—The amendment made by
6
subsection (a) shall apply with respect to medical assist-
7
ance furnished in calendar quarters beginning on or after
8
October 1, 2019.
