Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa- 1 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2 SECTION 1. PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS FOR MALACHY 3 MCALLISTER, NICOLA MCALLISTER, AND 4 SEAN RYAN MCALLISTER. 5 (a) IN GENERAL.—Notwithstanding subsections (a) 6 and (b) of section 201 of the Immigration and Nationality 7 Act, Malachy McAllister, Nicola McAllister, and Sean 8 Ryan McAllister shall each be eligible for issuance of an 9 immigrant visa or for adjustment of status to that of an 10 VerDate Sep 11 2014 01:37 Mar 06, 2019 Jkt 089200 PO 00000 Frm 00001 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\H1547.IH H1547 pamtmann on DSKBFK8HB2PROD with BILLS 2 •HR 1547 IH alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence upon fil- 1 ing an application for issuance of an immigrant visa under 2 section 204 of such Act or for adjustment of status to 3 lawful permanent resident. 4 (b) ADJUSTMENT OF STATUS.—If Malachy McAllis- 5 ter, Nicola McAllister, or Sean Ryan McAllister enters the 6 United States before the filing deadline specified in sub- 7 section (d), he or she shall be considered to have entered 8 and remained lawfully and shall, if otherwise eligible, be 9 eligible for adjustment of status under section 245 of the 10 Immigration and Nationality Act as of the date of the en- 11 actment of this Act. 12 (c) WAIVER OF GROUNDS FOR REMOVAL OF, OR DE- 13 NIAL OF ADMISSION TO, MALACHY MCALLISTER, NICOLA 14 MCALLISTER, AND SEAN RYAN MCALLISTER.— 15 (1) IN GENERAL.—Notwithstanding sections 16 212(a) and 237(a) of the Immigration and Nation- 17 ality Act, Malachy McAllister, Nicola McAllister, and 18 Sean Ryan McAllister may not be removed from the 19 United States, or denied admission to the United 20 States, by reason of any act of any of such individ- 21 uals that is a ground for removal or denial of admis- 22 sion and is reflected in the records of the Depart- 23 ment of Homeland Security, or the Visa Office of 24 VerDate Sep 11 2014 01:37 Mar 06, 2019 Jkt 089200 PO 00000 Frm 00002 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\H1547.IH H1547 pamtmann on DSKBFK8HB2PROD with BILLS 3 •HR 1547 IH the Department of State, on the date of the enact- 1 ment of this Act. 2 (2) RESCISSION OF OUTSTANDING ORDER OF 3 REMOVAL.—The Secretary of Homeland Security 4 shall rescind any outstanding order of removal or de- 5 portation, or any finding of deportability, that has 6 been entered against Malachy McAllister, Nicola 7 McAllister, or Sean Ryan McAllister by reason of 8 any act described in paragraph (1). 9 (d) DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION AND PAYMENT OF 10 FEES.—Subsections (a) and (b) shall apply only if the ap- 11 plication for issuance of an immigrant visa or the applica- 12 tion for adjustment of status is filed with appropriate fees 13 within 2 years after the date of the enactment of this Act. 14 (e) REDUCTION OF IMMIGRANT VISA NUMBER.— 15 Upon the granting of an immigrant visa or permanent res- 16 idence to Malachy McAllister, Nicola McAllister, and Sean 17 Ryan McAllister, the Secretary of State shall instruct the 18 proper officer to reduce by 3, during the current or next 19 following fiscal year, the total number of immigrant visas 20 that are made available to natives of the country of the 21 aliens’ birth under section 203(a) of the Immigration and 22 Nationality Act or, if applicable, the total number of immi- 23 VerDate Sep 11 2014 01:37 Mar 06, 2019 Jkt 089200 PO 00000 Frm 00003 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\H1547.IH H1547 pamtmann on DSKBFK8HB2PROD with BILLS 4 •HR 1547 IH grant visas that are made available to natives of the coun- 1 try of the aliens’ birth under section 202(e) of such Act. 2 Æ VerDate Sep 11 2014 01:37 Mar 06, 2019 Jkt 089200 PO 00000 Frm 00004 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6301 E:\BILLS\H1547.IH H1547 pamtmann on DSKBFK8HB2PROD with BILLS
