Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa- 1 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2 SECTION 1. BUFFER FROM OIL AND GAS DRILLING OPER- 1 ATIONS. 2 The Mineral Leasing Act (30 U.S.C. 181 et seq.) is 3 amended by— 4 (1) redesignating section 44 as section 45; and 5 (2) inserting after section 44 the following: 6 ‘‘SEC. 45.
