A BILL
To direct the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to amend the
schedule for rating disabilities to add a diagnostic code
and evaluation criteria for obliterative bronchiolitis, and
for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Burn Pit Veterans Re-
4
vision Act’’.

SEC. 2. REVISION OF DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS

DISABILITY RATING SCHEDULE WITH RE-
2
SPECT TO OBLITERATIVE BRONCHIOLITIS.

Not later than 180 days after the date of the enact-
4
ment of this Act, the Secretary of Veterans Affairs shall—
5
(1) amend the schedule for rating disabilities
6
pursuant to section 1155 of title 38, United States
7
Code, to add a diagnostic code and evaluation cri-
8
teria for obliterative bronchiolitis; and
9
(2) provide a process by which a veteran who,
10
as of the date of the enactment of this Act, is receiv-
11
ing compensation under chapter 11 of such title for
12
a service-connected disability—
13
(A) may have such service-connected dis-
14
ability reevaluated based on the diagnostic code
15
and evaluation criteria described in paragraph
16
(1); and
17
(B) may be assigned a new disability rat-
18
ing as a result of such reevaluation, if such as-
19
signment does not reduce the disability rating
20
of such veteran in effect immediately prior to
21
the date of such assignment.
