ness areas and on State land.

A BILL
To prohibit the construction of certain elements of a physical
barrier along the southern border of the United States
in Federal wildlife and wilderness areas and on State
land.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. PROHIBITION ON CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN

ELEMENTS OF A PHYSICAL BARRIER ALONG
2
THE SOUTHERN BORDER OF THE UNITED
3
STATES IN FEDERAL WILDLIFE AND WILDER-
4
NESS AREAS AND ON STATE LAND.

Notwithstanding any other provision of law, no Fed-
6
eral funds may be used to design or construct any levee
7
wall, steel bollard fence, or other wall within or on the
8
following:
9
(1) A unit of the national wildlife refuge sys-
10
tem.
11
(2) A unit of the national wilderness preserva-
12
tion system.
13
(3) A wildlife corridor, as determined by the
14
Secretary of the Interior acting through the Director
15
of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
16
(4) Land owned or under the jurisdiction of a
17
State, unless an appropriate State authority ap-
18
proves the construction in accordance with State law
19
on construction on State land.
