AN ACT
To designate a mountain in the State of Utah as ‘‘Miracle
Mountain’’.

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Miracle Mountain Des-
2
ignation Act’’.

SEC. 2. FINDINGS.
4
Congress finds as follows:
5
(1) On September 13, 2018, the Bald Mountain
6
Fire burned nearly 20,000 acres of land in Utah.
7
(2) Elk Ridge City, located in Utah County,
8
was nearly the victim of this fire.
9
(3) Suddenly, the fire halted its progression
10
and, instead of burning into Elk Ridge City, stayed
11
behind the mountain and spared the city.
12
(4) Congress, in acknowledgment of this event,
13
believes this mountain holds special significance to
14
the residents of Elk Ridge City and surrounding
15
communities.
16
(5) The presently unnamed peak has been re-
17
ferred to as ‘‘Miracle Mountain’’ by many residents
18
since the fire that nearly went into Elk Ridge City.

SEC. 3. MIRACLE MOUNTAIN.

(a) DESIGNATION.—The mountain in the State of
21
Utah, located at 39° 59′ 02N, 111° 40′ 12W, shall be
22
known and designated as ‘‘Miracle Mountain’’.
23
(b) REFERENCES.—Any reference in a law, map, reg-
24
ulation, document, record, or other paper of the United
