Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa- 1 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2 SECTION 1. COMPREHENSIVE EVERGLADES RESTORATION 1 PLAN. 2 Section 601(d) of the Water Resources Development 3 Act of 2000 (Public Law 106–541; 114 Stat. 2684) is 4 amended— 5 (1) in paragraph (1), by inserting ‘‘and subject 6 to paragraph (3)’’ after ‘‘subsection (b) or (c)’’; and 7 (2) by adding at the end the following: 8 ‘‘(3) EXPEDITED PROJECT IMPLEMENTA- 9 TION.—After completing a project implementation 10 report prepared in accordance with subsections (f) 11 and (h), the Secretary may carry out, without any 12 further congressional authorization— 13 ‘‘(A) any project identified in the Plan for 14 which a project implementation report is com- 15 pleted that is in accordance with an integrated 16 delivery schedule approved by the Chief of En- 17 gineers and the South Florida Water Manage- 18 ment District, in consultation with the South 19 Florida Ecosystem Restoration Task Force, 20 subject to the condition that the report is com- 21 pleted not later than 5 years after the date of 22 enactment of this paragraph; and 23 ‘‘(B) any group of projects under the Plan 24 that the Secretary determines will provide re- 25 gional or watershed ecosystem or water supply 26 VerDate Sep 11 2014 00:26 Jan 25, 2019 Jkt 089200 PO 00000 Frm 00002 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\H462.IH H462 pamtmann on DSKBFK8HB2PROD with BILLS 3 •HR 462 IH benefits if the group of projects is constructed 1 in accordance with a project implementation re- 2 port approved by the Chief of Engineers and 3 the South Florida Water Management District, 4 in consultation with the South Florida Eco- 5 system Restoration Task Force, not later than 6 5 years after the date of enactment of this 7 paragraph.’’. 8 Æ VerDate Sep 11 2014 00:26 Jan 25, 2019 Jkt 089200 PO 00000 Frm 00003 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6301 E:\BILLS\H462.IH H462 pamtmann on DSKBFK8HB2PROD with BILLS
