Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa- 1 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2 SECTION 1. CONTINUING APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE 3 COAST GUARD. 4 There are hereby appropriated for fiscal year 2019, 5 out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appro- 6 priated, for any period during which interim or full-year 7 appropriations for fiscal year 2019 for the Coast Guard 8 are not in effect— 9 VerDate Sep 11 2014 01:05 Jan 10, 2019 Jkt 089200 PO 00000 Frm 00001 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\H421.IH H421 kjohnson on DSK79L0C42 with BILLS 2 •HR 421 IH (1) such sums as are necessary to provide pay 1 and allowances to members of the Coast Guard (as 2 described in section 1 of title 14, United States 3 Code), including the reserve component thereof, who 4 perform active service or inactive-duty training dur- 5 ing such period; 6 (2) such sums as are necessary to provide pay 7 and allowances to civilian employees of the Coast 8 Guard; 9 (3) such sums as are necessary to provide pay 10 and allowances to contractors of the Coast Guard; 11 (4) such sums as are necessary for— 12 (A) the payment of a death gratuity under 13 sections 1475–1477 and 1489 of title 10, 14 United States Code, with respect to members of 15 the Coast Guard; 16 (B) the payment or reimbursement of au- 17 thorized funeral travel and travel related to the 18 dignified transfer of remains and unit memorial 19 services under section 481f of title 37, United 20 States Code, with respect to members of the 21 Coast Guard; and 22 (C) the temporary continuation of a basic 23 allowance of housing for dependents of mem- 24 bers of the Coast Guard dying on active duty, 25 VerDate Sep 11 2014 01:05 Jan 10, 2019 Jkt 089200 PO 00000 Frm 00002 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\H421.IH H421 kjohnson on DSK79L0C42 with BILLS 3 •HR 421 IH as authorized by section 403(l) of title 37, 1 United States Code; and 2 (5) such sums as are necessary for functions of 3 the Coast Guard otherwise authorized by law. 4 SEC. 2.
