Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa- 1 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2 SECTION 1. REPORTS BY CONGRESSIONAL BUDGET OFFICE ON 1 ECONOMIC COSTS AND COSTS TO TAXPAYERS 2 OF GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN. 3 Not later than 24 hours after each day on which a 4 Government shutdown is in effect, the Director of the 5 Congressional Budget Office shall submit a report to Con- 6 gress containing information on each of the following, 7 based on the most recent information available to the Di- 8 rector: 9 (1) An estimate of the economic output lost on 10 that day as the result of the Government shutdown. 11 (2) An estimate of any decrease in gross domes- 12 tic product for the quarter that will occur as the re- 13 sult of the Government shutdown. 14 (3) The value of any assistance, including loans, 15 grants, and contracts, that the Small Business Ad- 16 ministration was unable to provide as the result of 17 the Government shutdown. 18 (4) The amount of any revenue for the National 19 Park Service that was lost on that day as the result 20 of the closure of National Park Service lands and 21 historic sites. 22 (5) An estimate of revenue lost on that day be- 23 cause of the effects of the Government shutdown on 24 tourism and travel to and within the United States, 25 including travel by foreign tourists. 26 VerDate Sep 11 2014 04:06 Jan 17, 2019 Jkt 089200 PO 00000 Frm 00002 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\H270.IH H270 kjohnson on DSK79L0C42 with BILLS 3 •HR 270 IH SEC. 3.
