CONDENSING THE SERVICE STEPS FOR UNITED 1 STATES PARK POLICE OFFICERS AND MEM- 2 BERS. 3 (a) IN GENERAL.—Section 501(c)(1) of the District 4 of Columbia Police and Firemen’s Salary Act of 1958 (sec. 5 5–545.01(c)(1), D.C. (b) SERVICE STEP ADJUSTMENTS.—Section 1 303(a)(5) of the District of Columbia Police and Fire- 2 man’s Salary Act of 1958 (sec. 5–543.03(a)(5), D.C. Offi- 3 cial Code) is amended— 4 (1) in subparagraph (B), by striking ‘‘or 9’’ 5 and inserting ‘‘9, 10, or 11’’; 6 (2) in subparagraph (C), by striking ‘‘10’’ and 7 inserting ‘‘12’’; and 8 (3) by striking subparagraph (D). 9 (c) PRIOR ADJUSTMENTS DISREGARDED.—Any ad- 10 justments to the annual rates of basic compensation of 11 officers or members of the United States Park Police 12 under section 501(c)(2) of the District of Columbia Police 13 and Firemen’s Salary Act of 1958 (sec. 5–545.01(c)(2), 14 D.C.
