ALZHEIMER’S RESEARCH AND CAREGIVING 1 TRUST FUND. 2 (a) IN GENERAL.—Subchapter A of chapter 98 of the 3 Internal Revenue Code of 1986 is amended by adding at 4 the end the following new section: 5 ‘‘SEC. 9512. ALZHEIMER’S RESEARCH AND CAREGIVING 6 TRUST FUND. 7 ‘‘(a) CREATION OF TRUST FUND.—There is estab- 8 lished in the Treasury of the United States a trust fund 9 to be known as the ‘Alzheimer’s Research and Caregiving 10 Trust Fund’ (referred to in this section as the ‘Trust 11 Fund’), consisting of such amounts as may be appro- 12 priated or credit to such Trust Fund as provided in this 13 section or section 9602(b). 14 ‘‘(b) TRANSFERS TO TRUST FUND.—There are here- 15 by appropriated to the Trust Fund amounts equivalent to 16 the amounts contributed under section 6097. 17 ‘‘(c) EXPENDITURES.—Amounts in the Trust Fund 18 shall be available, without further appropriations, as fol- 19 lows: 20 ‘‘(1) Fifty percent to the National Institutes of 21 Health to conduct or support research regarding the 22 treatment or cure of Alzheimer’s disease pursuant to 23 the Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias Re- 24 search Act of 1992. 25 VerDate Sep 11 2014 22:42 Jun 30, 2021 Jkt 019200 PO 00000 Frm 00002 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\H3880.IH H3880 kjohnson on DSK79L0C42PROD with BILLS 3 •HR 3880 IH ‘‘(2) Fifty percent to the Administration on 1 Aging for education, counseling, respite, and other 2 supportive services under the Older Americans Act 3 of 1965 for the benefit of individuals with Alz- 4 heimer’s disease and of their families, caregivers, 5 and health care professionals.’’. 6 (b) CLERICAL AMENDMENT.—The table of sections 7 for subchapter A of chapter 98 of such Code is amended 8 by adding at the end the following new item: 9 ‘‘Sec. 9512. Alzheimer’s Research and Caregiving Trust Fund.’’. SEC. 2. CONTRIBUTION TO THE ALZHEIMER’S RESEARCH 10 AND CAREGIVING TRUST FUND. 11 (a) IN GENERAL.—Subchapter A of chapter 61 of the 12 Internal Revenue Code of 1986 is amended by adding at 13 the end the following new part: 14 ‘‘PART IX—CONTRIBUTION TO THE ALZHEIMER’S 15 RESEARCH AND CAREGIVING TRUST FUND 16 ‘‘Sec. 6097. Contribution to the Alzheimer’s Research and Caregiving Trust Fund ‘‘SEC. 6097.
