Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa- 1 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2 SECTION 1. NATIONAL TRAVEL AND TOURISM INFRASTRUC- 1 TURE STRATEGIC PLAN. 2 Section 1431(e) of the FAST Act (49 U.S.C. 301 3 note; Public Law 114–94) is amended— 4 (1) by redesignating paragraphs (1) through 5 (7) as subparagraphs (A) though (G), respectively, 6 and indenting appropriately; 7 (2) in the matter preceding subparagraph (A) 8 (as so redesignated)— 9 (A) by striking ‘‘Not later than 3 years 10 after the date of enactment of this Act’’ and in- 11 serting ‘‘Not later than 180 days after the date 12 of enactment of the TOURISM Act’’; and 13 (B) by striking ‘‘plan that includes’’ and 14 inserting the following: ‘‘plan— 15 ‘‘(1) to develop an immediate-term and long- 16 term strategy, including policy recommendations 17 across all modes of transportation, for the Depart- 18 ment and other agencies to use infrastructure invest- 19 ments to revive the travel and tourism industry and 20 the overall travel and tourism economy in the wake 21 of the COVID–19 pandemic; and 22 ‘‘(2) that includes’’; and 23 (3) in paragraph (2) (as so redesignated)— 24 (A) in subparagraph (A) (as so redesig- 25 nated), by inserting ‘‘, including consideration 26 VerDate Sep 11 2014 05:02 Jun 18, 2021 Jkt 019200 PO 00000 Frm 00002 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\S2015.IS S2015 kjohnson on DSK79L0C42PROD with BILLS 3 •S 2015 IS of the impacts of the COVID–19 pandemic’’ 1 after ‘‘network’’; 2 (B) in subparagraph (D) (as so redesig- 3 nated), by inserting ‘‘of regional significance’’ 4 after ‘‘corridors’’; 5 (C) in subparagraph (F) (as so redesig- 6 nated), by striking ‘‘and’’ at the end; 7 (D) in subparagraph (G) (as so redesig- 8 nated), by striking the period at the end and in- 9 serting ‘‘; and’’; and 10 (E) by adding at the end the following: 11 ‘‘(H) an identification of possible infra- 12 structure investments that create recovery op- 13 portunities for small, underserved, minority, 14 and rural businesses in the travel and tourism 15 industry, including efforts to preserve and pro- 16 tect the scenic but often less-traveled roads that 17 promote tourism and economic development 18 throughout the country.’’. 19 Æ VerDate Sep 11 2014 05:02 Jun 18, 2021 Jkt 019200 PO 00000 Frm 00003 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6301 E:\BILLS\S2015.IS S2015 kjohnson on DSK79L0C42PROD with BILLS
