Subpart V of part D of title III of the Public Health
10
Service Act (42 U.S.C. 256a et seq.) is amended by adding
11
at the end the following:

‘‘SEC. 340A–1. PUBLIC AWARENESS CAMPAIGN ON HOW TO
13
HELP PATIENTS NAVIGATE THE LEGAL LAND-
14
SCAPE IN THE UNITED STATES WITH RE-
15
SPECT TO ABORTION AND OTHER REPRO-
16
DUCTIVE HEALTH CARE SERVICES.

‘‘(a) IN GENERAL.—The Secretary shall develop and
18
implement a national public awareness campaign to in-
19
form health care professionals and health care professional
20
students on how to help patients navigate the legal land-
21
scape in the United States with respect to abortion and
22
other reproductive health care services.
23
‘‘(b) REQUIREMENTS.—The public awareness cam-
24
paign under this section shall include—

‘‘(1) the provision of available resources on how

‘‘(2) the dissemination of information on the

negative health impacts on communities when access

to abortion and other reproductive health care serv-
7
ices is restricted or banned.

‘‘(c) COORDINATION.—The public awareness cam-
9
paign under this section shall be complementary to, and
10
coordinated with, any other Federal, State, Tribal, and
11
local efforts, as appropriate.

‘‘(d) REPORT TO CONGRESS.—Not later than 45 days
13
after the date on which funds are made available to the
14
Secretary to carry out this section, the Secretary shall
15
submit to Congress a report on how such funds have been
16
used during such 45-day period, including a plan for using
17
any remaining funds within the next 45 days.
18
‘‘(e) AUTHORIZATION OF APPROPRIATIONS.—There
19
is authorized to be appropriated to carry out this section
20
$20,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2024 through 2028.’’.
