To limit travel by the Vice President until after certain
activities are undertaken with respect to the southwest
border, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘See the Crisis Act’’.
4
SEC. 2. LIMITATION ON FEDERAL FUNDS FOR VICE PRESI-
5
DENT INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL.
6
No Federal funds may be obligated or expended for
7
the travel expenses of the Vice President to travel outside

of the United States until on or after the date that each
1
of the following conditions are met:
2
(1) The Vice President personally travels to at
3
least one of the counties listed in section 15732 of
4
title 40, United States Code, to review the activities
5
of the Department of Homeland Security and other
6
Federal agencies responsible for enforcing and im-
7
plementing immigration laws.
8
(2) The Vice President submits the report de-
9
scribed under section 3.

SEC. 3. REPORT.

Not later than 30 days after the date of enactment
12
of this Act, the Vice President shall submit to the Commit-
13
tees on Appropriations of the House of Representatives
14
and the Senate a report that includes—
15
(1) a detailed list of the Federal agencies and
16
local supporting law enforcement offices with which
17
the Vice President has met in person on location at
18
a southwest border facility operated by U.S. Cus-
19
toms and Border Protection or at a Border Patrol
20
Duty Location in the Big Bend Sector Texas, Del
21
Rio Sector Texas, El Centro Sector California, El
22
Paso Sector Texas, Laredo Sector Texas, Rio
23
Grande Valley Sector Texas, San Diego Sector Cali-

fornia, Tucson Sector Arizona, or the Yuma Sector

Arizona, relating to the current crisis at the south-

west border since January 20, 2021;
2
(2) any plans the Vice President has to visit the
3
crisis at the southwest border after the date such re-
4
port is submitted; and
5
(3) the estimated amount of funds the Vice
6
President or any other Federal agency intends to
7
offer Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, and Mex-
8
ico as part of an international aid package relating
9
to the immigration and humanitarian crisis at the
10
southwest border.
