lowing bill; which was read twice and referred to the Committee on Envi-

A BILL
To amend the Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency
Act of 1991 to designate United States Route 412 as
a future part of the Interstate System, and for other
purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Future Interstate in
4
Oklahoma and Arkansas Act’’.
5
SEC. 2. FUTURE INTERSTATE DESIGNATION.

(a) DESIGNATION AS HIGH PRIORITY CORRIDOR.—

Efficiency Act of 1991 (Public Law 102–240; 105 Stat.

2032; 133 Stat. 3018) is amended by adding at the end
2
the following:

‘‘(92) The route that generally follows United
4
States Route 412 from its intersection with Inter-
5
state 35 in Noble County, Oklahoma, passing
6
through Tulsa, Oklahoma, to its intersection with
7
Interstate 49 in Springdale, Arkansas.’’.

(b) DESIGNATION AS FUTURE INTERSTATE.—Sec-
9
tion 1105(e)(5)(A) of the Intermodal Surface Transpor-
10
tation Efficiency Act of 1991 (Public Law 102–240; 109
11
Stat. 597; 133 Stat. 3018) is amended in the first sen-
12
tence by striking ‘‘and subsection (c)(91)’’ and inserting
13
‘‘subsection (c)(91), and subsection (c)(92)’’.
14
(c) VEHICLE WEIGHT LIMITATIONS.—Section 127 of
15
title 23, United States Code, is amended by adding at the
16
end the following:
17
‘‘(v) OPERATION OF VEHICLES ON CERTAIN OKLA-
18
HOMA HIGHWAYS.—If any segment of highway referred
19
to in paragraph (92) of section 1105(c) of the Intermodal
20
Surface Transportation Efficiency Act of 1991 (Public
21
Law 102–240; 105 Stat. 2032; 133 Stat. 3018) is des-
22
ignated as a route on the Interstate System, a vehicle that
23
could operate legally on that segment before the date of
