SEC. 2. PURPOSE.

The purpose of this Act is to make improvements in the enactment of

title 41, United States Code, into a positive law title and to improve the

Code.

SEC. 3. TITLE 2, UNITED STATES CODE.

(1) The paragraph under the heading ‘‘GENERAL PROVISION, THIS
8
CHAPTER’’ in chapter 5 of title II of division B of the Omnibus Consoli-
9
dated and Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Act, 1999 (2 U.S.C.
10
141a) is amended by striking ‘‘section 3709 of the Revised Statutes of the
11
United States (41 U.S.C. 5)’’ and substituting ‘‘section 6101 of title 41,

United States Code’’.

(2) Section 114 of the Legislative Branch Appropriations Act, 1996
