Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa- 1 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2 SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Accurate Reporting 4 of Smoking Variants Act of 2021’’. 5 SEC. 2. FINDINGS. 6 Congress makes the following findings: 7 VerDate Sep 11 2014 00:00 Jun 15, 2021 Jkt 019200 PO 00000 Frm 00001 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\H3226.IH H3226 kjohnson on DSK79L0C42PROD with BILLS 2 •HR 3226 IH (1) The Centers for Disease Control and Pre- 1 vention has reported 2,807 lung injuries and 68 con- 2 firmed deaths from vaping-related injuries. 3 (2) According to the 2020 National Youth To- 4 bacco Survey, over 3.6 million kids were reported to 5 be currently using electronic nicotine delivery sys- 6 tems (ENDS), or e-cigarettes. 7 (3) Repeated prolonged exposure to aerosols 8 founds in e-cigarettes and vaping devices pose con- 9 siderable potential risk, the long-term health con- 10 sequences of which also remain to be determined. 11 SEC. 3.
