To amend title 32, United States Code, to authorize cybersecurity operations
and missions to protect critical infrastructure by members of the National
Guard in connection with training or other duty.

lowing bill; which was referred to the Committee on Armed Services
A BILL
To amend title 32, United States Code, to authorize cyberse-
curity operations and missions to protect critical infra-
structure by members of the National Guard in connec-
tion with training or other duty.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘National Guard Cyber-
4
security Support Act’’.

PROTECT CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE BY

MEMBERS OF THE NATIONAL GUARD IN CON-

NECTION WITH TRAINING OR OTHER DUTY.

Section 502(f)(1) of title 32, United States Code, is
5
amended by adding after the flush matter at the end the
6
following new sentence: ‘‘Such training or other duty may
7
include cybersecurity operations or missions undertaken
8
by the member’s unit at the request of the Governor of
9
the State concerned to protect critical infrastructure (as
10
that term is defined in the Critical Infrastructures Protec-
11
tion Act of 2001 (42 U.S.C. 5195c)).’’.
